Here's the Thing

I like all my clients. How could I not? Most of my clients are happy, unselfconscious, and, above all, a total blast to work with. Sure, there’s the occasional kid that pouts or cries or yells but that’s part of the fun of photographing children. Their parents know how wonderful these kids can be, regardless of their mood. With my photography, I strive to capture those wonderful little personalities so that when the whole family looks back years from now, it won’t take much to remember just how much fun they were.

My name is Ben Ryerson. I am the owner and sole photographer of Ryerson Photography. My wife and I live in Atlanta with our two children, our daughter (born in April of 2005) and our son (born in June of 2008). My children have been my inspiration and have been the subject of much of my work; you’ll find their pictures all over the site.

Some of my photographs are now available for licensing on Getty Images. I’m pretty excited about this opportunity. The current crop can be viewed here and I’m hoping to have more available soon. On the Blog

Here on my blog, I hope to offer some select images from my sessions so that all my clients (present and future) can get an idea of what to expect from their time with Ryerson Photography.

From time to time, I’m going to post some tutorials and a smattering of other info on the blog so be sure to subscribe to the feed so you can check ‘em out. The posts will be a mixture of photography, Photoshop, and web design stuff as it relates to photography. Since ours is now a digital world, I think it’s important for every photographer to have at least some experience with web design in order to present themselves on-line in the best possible light. Whether it’s creating on-line galleries for your clients or building a quality portfolio site, there is nothing like doing it yourself.
